I can’t think of one good thing to say about Cambodia. If I were a whore mongerer or one of the garden variety Pub Street Barang losers I saw walking about, I’d probably say Cambodia was paradise.

What a shit hole that Learning Jungle/ Westview International School is - don’t Cambodian parents do any type of due-diligence? The fact that the school was nestled in a light industrial area would be enough to turn me away. The mindless chanting, lack of anything but rote learning and they can’t even get that right. I had 6th grade math students that couldn’t even do long division. That was literally the worst school I ever worked at. The leases that aren’t worth the paper they are written on; the high cost of living in a shit hole like PP ... thank God I’m back in China.

Cambodians need to be grateful for whatever the Chinese are giving them because from what I saw, whatever handouts they are getting from China is already too much. Cambodia really does need to bend a knee to the PRC because Cambodia is still in the “total shit hole” phase of its development. I’m guessing it will be in that phase for some time to come.

Cambodian students need to be grateful for whatever drug addled, whore mongering teacher they find in front of them. As I understand it, I was their 3rd math teacher in - what - 6 months time? My coworkers were some combination of drunk, druggie and mongerer, and I’m not joking.

Are all schools that bad? I can’t imagine for example that JPA in SR is anything like a scam school such as Learning Jungle/West View International. The question is who is to blame and I say the parents. They need to learn about due diligence.

So many things are wrong with Cambodia, not just education so that God I’m out.

Well for those of us Barang losers who dont have to work as teachers in a third world country to survive simply because they are unemployable in their own countries, but rather, can afford to split time between here, the USA, Europe and Thailand, flying in and out whenever we want without the care of having to bow before some head Teacher or wipe the noses of snotty brats in a foreign country, Cambodia is just fine.

Actually I was teaching in Cambodia for about 2 months - long enough to explore an option and conclude the country is a shit hole, it’s lawless and I wouldn’t want my kids raised in that environment.

Thank God for China though. I’ll be enjoying a nice spicy hot pot tonight and relaying to my Sichuanese friends what a shit hole Cambodia is, how ungrateful they are for China’s support and how anything China gives them is already too much.

Enjoy your whores and drugs!! I’m certainly enjoying being in a real country, a country which counts Cambodia as something like a vassal state. Don’t kid yourself now - China owns Cambodia; it always did and it always will.
