You can't make this up - really. I'm surprised the dipshit didn't think a 'homophone' was a pink Iphone with rhinestones ! ......... "But when the social-media specialist for a private Provo-based English language learning center wrote a blog explaining homophones, he was let go for creating the perception that the school promoted a gay agenda.
Tim Torkildson says after he wrote the blog on the website of his employer, Nomen Global Language Center, his boss and Nomen owner Clarke Woodger, called him into his office and told him he was fired.
As Torkildson tells it, Woodger said he could not trust him and that the blog about homophones was the last straw.
Now the school is going to be associated with homosexuality," Woodger complained, according to Torkildson, who posted the exchange on his Facebook page". http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/politics/5 ... atinYouAss

"People at this level of English," Woodger says, " … may see the 'homo' side and think it has something to do with gay sex."

Well, I would certainly recommend an English language school where the boss thinks that explaining homophones is the equivalent of promoting "gay sex". He's showing real class there.

Do you have any problems in Saudi with this GM ? Or is it just in the US where pedicure is a way of treating pedophiles, and homophones are pink cellphones for queers...

You have to understand what an uptight state Utah is. Its run by the secretive Mormon church. The same Mormon church that has a mountain tunneled out and full of records on everyone in the US. The same Mormon church that believes that golden tablets were dug up in New York state.

Joe Smith was no dummy.(founder of the church) He and L. Ron Hubbard have something in common.

"You don't get rich by writing science fiction, if you want to get rich, you start a religion." (Scientology)
Lafayette Ronald Hubbard
Founder of the Church of Scientology (tax exempt)

You got to love the multi-wife concept and Brigham Young (Bring-Them-Young) had 55 wives.(56 children by 16 wives. Obviously no TV to watch back then.) Gives a whole new meaning to the term short-time. Busy, busy man. Old Brigham was no poof and didn't tolerate them, thus the present mindset in Utah. Don't care for the Mormon Church (or any church's) , but sometimes they did get some things right. (like also putting away a two year supple of food and helping others in the church less fortunate.)
