See you later, I've enjoyed hanging out here and appreciate a lot of it. However it seems that indulging dumb as fuck posts like BKK Trapper makes is where it's at now. I've tried to contribute to this forum but any even semi-intelligent posts are for the most part ignored. This was a reply to a helpful and well thought-out post tonight, and it passed by the "mods".

We try VERY hard to make sure that nobody crosses the line or just comes onto CEO to fuck things up, but if someone saying "I'm a cunt!" is too much for you to deal with, then CEO isn't the place for you or anyone that sensitive, and that's truly unfortunate. You could also REPORT that post if you're so offended by it and we could look into it, but we still can't read minds and I had no idea that it would be so offensive to you to hear that someone is a self proclaimed cunt. Meh, we can't please everyone.

^^I think he's more dismayed at the disregard for someone reaching out to trapper to help, not so much the "snowflake factor" of dealing with self professed cunts. You have to admit he's been allowed a LOT of leniency at the expense of other posters' dismay.

Just one thing in defence of trapper's reply, it's okay. I wouldn't expect him to instantly turn around and suddenly be converted or change his behaviour, or write some glowing reply to my post. Change takes time, and sometimes if you're really truly fucked up inside it takes a lot of time to change from within. Doesn't mean he's right to stay nor does it mean posters have to tolerate him, just stating what might be the case.

True, it's just ironic (by any standards) that he would leave CEO over a troll, yet is happily a member on the old forum, LoL.

That's like leaving the Alt Right party because you think they're too racist, and then joining the Nazis, LoL. That individual defies logic, to say the least.

I actually though his reply to you was a bit over the top for sure, but you seemed to take it will enough and already replied to him seemingly unoffended, so didn't think I needed to do anything.

Besides, we have a REPORT function, and that entire topic has ZERO reports, and everyone knows they are encouraged to report anything they don't like or feel shouldn't be on CEO.

He is well-known for calling others a cunt, but when someone calls THEMSELVES a cunt it's too much? I don't see how there is any logic in this at all, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to see a bit of irony here.

Again, we can't read minds, and people like John Bingham who claim they are so sick of trolls want to walk out, they have every right to do so, even though I find it ironic he happily posts on the old forum who seem to make no effort to eliminate such trolls. To each their own though.

No I get your point (although I don't know who he is on the other forum nor did I know he was a poster there), I was just saying I think his point wasn't that he was upset about the language part, rather once again an attempt to start a meaningful thread going was simply tossed aside. More pent up frustration vs. that one instance, just my thoughts on that.

For me, off subject, but I thought the report function was more for "illegal" activities such as porn images, threats, scams, illegal activity endorsements, etc, not to report something we don't like. Just my impression.

Actually, we should change the "text" of report options. Those are default options, and NOBODY uses it to report WAREZ or COPYRIGHTED posts, just to report shitty posts/members.

Every time this issue has come up, we stress that the REPORT function is for reporting things exactly like this. I don't think we could have stressed that any more.

I'm only used to reports of malicious activity so forgive me if I missed that on here. I frequent far too many forums that I lose track of which set of guidelines go to which forum.

I keep my Foe cellar stocked with idiots. So I don't see any of the trolls. 'Tis a nice world to live in.
