Cambodian artists to make second debut in Paris next month
Two Cambodian artists Vuthea and RuthKo are slated to perform in Paris to represent Cambodian Hip-Hop and present to the world the emergence and artistic renewal of Cambodian youth through the musical scene next month.
Vuthea and RuthKo, the two main artists from Cambodia and Sok Visal, the founder of the KlapYaHandz Music Record from Phnom Penh will join the show in Paris, France on October 14 with about eight French Asian artists (singers and DJs) expected to perform the day of the show, said Event Co-organiser Hélène MALTERRE.
In a press statement issued on the weekend, event organisers said that in partnership with Samaki Kohn Khmer Association, Sabay Events will organise and introduce modern Cambodian music live for the second time, to create a link between France and Cambodia through these emerging young talented artists.
“Fusing between traditional and modern music, KlapYaHandz has created a sound that brings all generations together for all Khmer across the globe, ” the release said, adding that the performance will be held in Paris on October 14.
