Photo Phnom Penh Festival 2019 to Begin This Week

AKP Phnom Penh, October 22, 2019 --

Photo Phnom Penh Festival 2019, the 10th of this kind, will kick off on Oct. 24 and last until Nov. 24.

Organised by the French Institute of Cambodia and Photo Phnom Penh Association, this forthcoming event, founded since 2008, is an essential meeting place for photography in Southeast Asia.

The opening ceremony of Photo Phnom Penh 2019 will be held Thursday at the French Institute of Cambodia, from 18:00 to 20:00.

According to the French Institute of Cambodia, Photo Phnom Penh remains an important moment of exchange between Asian and European photographers from around the world. It aimed at being, from the beginning, a platform to allow the creation of a “school” of Cambodian photographers.

In addition to the opening ceremony of the indoor and outdoor exhibitions and the renowned Tuk Tuk Tour, Photo Phnom Penh will offer several evening events – at the French Institute and Futures Factory – as well as conferences, screenings and portfolio reading.
