Modern Crab Farmers Investing in Sihanoukville

Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): People in Sihanoukville who like to eat rock crabs now have a modern rock crab farm available, a clean and modern farm that raises rock crabs for eggs and meat, located in Stung Hav district, Sihanoukville province. There is a good market selling crabs to tourist restaurants.
According to the manager of this modern rock crab farm, the modern crab farming is high yield, high quality and hygiene, the breeding place is unique, each crab is placed in a separate box, unlike crabs raised in ponds.
Mr. Bun Ly Lay, the manager of this modern rock crab farm, said that modern and hygienic farming like this costs a lot of money because the materials and techniques are imported from abroad, and, importantly, the water does not drain out and harm the environment.
The prices fluctuate according to supply and demand, but the current market is good now with Cambodia reopened to receive tourists, and with the new expressway from Phnom Penh, the future market for crabs looks promising for today's new crab farm investors in Sihanoukville province.
