Living fences

In some places in Cambodia, when they want to make a fence, the cut branches off certain trees, and put a row of them in the ground. These branches grow roots and leaves. You finish up with a living fence.

People wanting to make a fence in a rural area may consider this method. It does not cost money like a brick fence.

You know. You cut a shoot off some plants and stick them in water and they grow roots and then you plant them. Other plants will grow roots directly if you stick them in the ground. Magic.

That's insane. Like hedges or something. Utterly stunning idea.

You should look up Coppicing, your ancestors were doing it thousands of years back.
