For quite a while there, the Bayon Pearnik seemed to be in an awful state. The articles were of such poor quality...badly written and apparently not edited, or even spell checked for that matter. They may as well have put out the same issue with only a change of cover picture each month. It was practically unreadable.

I looked at the June edition, available in pdf from their website. It's a much, much improved reading experience.

Thanks for the heads up- the article on the Hmong stronghold is particularly interesting with a few good pics!

I've read the Bayon and the Echo almost religiously since I've been here. Asia Life was added shortly after it came out. I don't read every article, but I do try to pick up a copy of each one every month. BP is certain the worst of the bunch. I think it's gone downhill the past 3 years or so. In my humble opinion, the political ramblings (super leftist... And who picks up a Cambodian magazine to read about US foreign policy anyways?!) and the weird story "continuations" kill it. Like, I haven't read the first 18 parts of your story so I'm highly unlikely to read it this time... Makes first time readers totally confused as well. The best part is the Horoscope. Has me laughing out loud every time. The pub page can be ok and the main article is hit and miss (70% miss I'd say). The Echo is much better and while Asia Life is good, it's a bit too upscale for my liking.
