What Model is this

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. What Model is this

Post by Duncan »

Well she's a 1986 model, with solid bodywork, paintwork that's in good condition, and quite economical to run.

Now lets talk about the car I saw parked up in Borey New World housing estate.
I think it's a 1950 model Pontiac but the grill does not match up.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Could it be a Pontiac Torpedo?

Recent import I guess. The 1986 model was probably made in Cambodia.

Looks like a 1941 Pontiac Torpedo to me. You could get a flathead 6cyl or Flathead straight 8 cyl. I didn't have one of these, but owned a 1949 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette. It had a 320cu in overhead valve straight 8 cyl engine. It had a two speed automatic trans and took a while to get up to speed, but would cruise at 80/90mph all day long.
