Ranks... and what they mean.

Under Admin Protection
Fair Game
Under Admin Protection is just that... protected. Protected from flaming/etc. Let them be, let them get a feel for how this board is different from any other they've been on, etc. Be a little polite, and a little tolerant.
For people are coming over from other forums, this is a prime chance to see if they're going to change up their online persona a bit in light of a change "place" surrounding them... don't immediately force them back into the old format by calling it up and attacking them for it.
For actual new people... don't chase them off right away. Let them see people interacting with one another and decide if they want to participate in that or not for themselves.
After 30 posts... ample time to acclimate... they're fair game (within reason).
