Random facebook friends

This is a part of our Cambodia forums to chat about anything, whether it relates to Cambodia or not. This discussion forum is at the top of our site because it's usually the busiest part of the expat community chatter with random topics on just about everything, including expat life, Khmer politics, Cambodian blogs we have or have come across, or whatever else our members want to discuss. Whether you're an expatriate, tourist, Cambodian or random traveler just passing through South East Asia, you are welcome to talk about anything or start new topics yourselves.

Random facebook friends

Post by ali baba » Sun Jun 15, 2014 6:25 am

I don't use facebook often but as I couldn't sleep tonight I ended up longing in. I had several friend requests from people I've never met, share no mutual acquaintances with and basically just don't know. In my entire facebook career I've had about a dozen of these.

I'm not in the least bit social and pretty much keep to myself so I'm curious bout this phenomenon and what the point is. I accepted a couple of random requests in the past to see what would happen and the people involved showed no interest in me. No messages or comments.

What's the deal?
Scarier than malaria.

I get about a dozen of those a week, seriously.

I weed through them and add anyone who seems interesting.

Are they Asian or what?

I feel so privileged! One day, when you and OD are millionaires, I'll show my grandchildren that we were once FB friends!
