I hate the gap

The gap between the wealthy and poor is increasing. Now, Cambodia has a Rolls Royce dealership, a Porsche dealership and has more Range Rovers, Bentleys, Lexus SUVs than I've ever seen in my entire life. And seeing a Aston Martin Vantage is a first. It drives me crazy.

***If you own this car, nothing against you personally :)

Saw that big black classic Rolls at Home Top today - their personal security was looking to shepherd us away from the important people, until I held eye contact with him. "The Gap" is one of the two reasons I hate shopping at Lucky's.

I've gotta say I kinda agree with you, but based on the OP title, I'm more relieved this thread wasn't about the killer store where I buy all my freshest threads.

I thought this thread was gonna be about the 'thigh gap' which newspapers tell women they don't need.

There are studies showing that rates of poverty in Phnom Penh have fallen by over 30% in the past 10 years but since you made an anecdotal observation I'll point out that 100,000 motorbikes have been registered since I arrived here 6 years ago so the poor are being swept along with the rich.

I dislike skinny women so would agree that the thigh gap is unattractive and unneeded.

I have always said that there should be a law that no one on the planet can spend 1 million per annum per person for living expenses and...no one can buy a personal car costing more than $100K...who "needs" more than that after all? Greedy evil selfish fucks all...if 'the uber rich" hoard most of the $$, which of course they do, that results in millions of dirt poor poverty-stricken fellow human beings...

Redistribute Resources! Now! I think one of the Marx Brothers said that...

Yeah, I agree! There has been significant growth here. Generally speaking, though, the attitude of the rich continues to dwindle. It's obvious wherever you go. I say generally because i know there is probably a select few that care about someone other than themselves.

The scary thing is some girls at Golden Sorya Mall are even skinnier.

I am a gap man though. :Yahoo!:

On topic: Visible evidence of extreme wealth side by side with extreme poverty is one of the strangest experiences for a visitor to Cambodia. To take things beyond ludicrous is the very visible VIP parking card on the dash of Range Rover. Why not just attach an LED sign saying "Look at me". Sick.
