Direct hit to the lightning rod on the building next door - nice! The cat is a little wide-eyed now.
Why is it that some rods get hit more often than others - better earth?

1. Height. Highest point gets hit.
2. Material. Better conductors get hit more often if there is a choice.
3. Other factors such as wind and rain/humidity play a part too.
