SteveExpatCambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

SteveExpatCambodia

Post by SteveExpatCambodia »

Hello I am Steven Dasilva living in Phnom Penh Cambodia as an Expat with my Cousin Jeff Couto. I love living in Cambodia as an Expat and my channel is all about living in Cambodia as an Expat - I hope you like it as I share my retirement living in Cambodia as an Expat.

Here is a new Interview I did with Dan from the famous Vagabond Awake @VagabondAwake You Tube Channel. Thank you Dan for giving me the opportunity to share my story with those who are searching for information about living in Cambodia as an Expat. I am very grateful.

Thank you Dan for this incredible interview. Living in Cambodia as an expat has been an extraordinary experience for me thus far. I'm so happy to share this information especially to people who want to retire in Cambodia as an expat. The cost of living in Cambodia was attractive to me but the best thing about living in Cambodia as an expat is the wonderful people and their beautiful culture. Cambodia has such a rich history and there is so much to explore and experience as both a tourist and as an expat. I appreciate Dan coming to my house in Phnom Penh and asking me great questions about my experience as an expat living in Cambodia. Very well put together video. Thank you 🙏

Just a couple of questions for the OP:

What country are you living in now ?

Do you consider yourself 1) a tourist or 2) a recent economic migrant ?

And do you realise they are much the same thing ?

Please clarify your name & where you are living. You're a refugee, right?

I've seen a few of that Dan fellows videos

about as interesting as watching paint dry; he and his stick insect chinese missus travel retirement hotspots globally and interview boring old cunts on the secret to retiring in places like Tondo, phillipines on 69 cents per month

Wow,

quite some misinformation there. Didn't watch the whole, but the info on visa (first need a 6 months visa, then can obtain a one year visa) and opening bank account (can open with second visa) are wrong for sure, and the advice he gives on 'two factor authentication' for his foreign bank account is sketchy, to put it mildly, since he has the second factor on the same device.

Um yea I’m in the process of watching this also .
but saw this comment and reply 1st - you can have email and internet on same device ( also telephone 📱 - why. not the same device for 2 factor authentication ? This guy is happy go lucky - he is just happy to be here - He lived where I lived (condominium) during Covid Then he moved there to the big city …. This - Should be moved to expat youtubers - The dream will wear off - especially after all these guys on YouTube and myface and everyone else who are amazed and are on their way to live here - will flood this place very soon - it won’t be long - You tube is full of so much perverted honkys
