Balcony Makeover

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Balcony Makeover

Post by rozzieoz »

I recently moved into a new apartment with a great balcony space.

A friend is going to help me with a makeover, which I thought I’d document and share here.

I’ve asked for the following:
Small herb / veggie patch
Table to eat and drink
BBQ
Somewhere to lounge after work

This is the balcony before anything was done.

Balcony Makeover

We bought some orchid plants, $2 each!
I’m looking for a tall plant to block the aircon units.

Next step is to get hold of a steam cleaner.

Glad to hear you found a place. It's literally just around the corner from me. Look forward to seeing this transformation. edit: good start already!

Don't forget, you'll need to fit your Hill's hoist out there too.

I thought I could just get a whole lot of pretty girls to stand on the balcony holding my clothes while they dry ;)

Ok, forget the steam clean, I’m installing the Balcony Escape Hatch next.
