Barber shop - The Man, street 15

I want to recommend this place. Best I've experienced in PP. $3. Happy crew. All round good place.
On st 15 just south of 130, east side.

OK, noted. But more info needed. Why so good? Have you tried many others in town? My experience, as swith most repeat business here, is that consistency is the issue. Quality often declines when they see you returning again and again. Like they feel they don't need to try.
Ana with haircuts specifically, not many barbers know how to cut foreigners hair unless it's straight and thick like Asian hair. Sure they can master a fade, but technical haircutting skills are hard to find.
The absolute best I've ever found here, is a khmer lady in kampot that spent a decade working in UK for Tony & Guy and as a self employed hairdresser too. She is probably the best hairdresser I've experienced anywhere, period. Not only is she skilled, but she is a lovely person and great to chat to (I have a minor phobia of haircuts since childhood and she had me at ease immediately.)
Unfortunately her name escapes me.... I think it's Mony.
In fact, I might start going to kampot for my monthly haircut from now on.

As for The Man - yes I have tried many others, no the quality did not decline, yes they can cut barang hair.

I hear ya! At first I thought I had done something to offend the Govs. Then I started thinking I must be doing the same offensive thing every time because different establishments reacted similarly on my repeat visits. I was so paranoid, I was leaving big tips and walking on eggshells.
Then I got the word on the street that you're coming back anyway, why put in the effort. In a few cases, I prefer to think of it as a mi cassa su thing where you can make yourself at home, we wont hassle you. Unfortunately, it is more likely to be that the initial optimism of you being a naive greenhorn, still wet behind the ears, and ready to be schooled in your first lesson in KoW economics, was a fizzer.

There's a good chance that when she said that, and you shook her extended hand, she was not introducing herself.

Well, there you go - I find that lady in Kampot wildly overrated and definitely overpriced - but to each their own

I knever tried them, but i suppose they are just around the corner coming from the city-centre-hotel, isnt it ?? The way they looked to me whe i used to walk in front of their shop, gave me a strange feeling, i was thinking like: they put at least a finger in your ass when cutting your hair, indefenitly some young gay guys, yesyes, i know, most of the haircutters are, i dont care at all, as long as they dont put a finger in my ass or other body-holes !! ??
