Opening the Wrong door

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Opening the Wrong door

Post by flying chicken »

I just recently moved. The second floor rooms all look identical. Today when I got home, I mistakenly opened the room #13 then seeing someone sleeping on the floor and 2 people sleeping on the bed. My first thought was they were my wife's siblings and needed a place to crash...but ones on the bed were quietly kind of freaked out, and my naughty thought about my wife on a bed with another man...I was about to give hell. But I quickly realized that my room is #14...when the same door key (my room, #14) is opened and they (wife and daughter) were already asleep.

Were this to happen in New Zealand, 111 would of been immediately dialed, and the cops will be over my ass. My neighbor havent say nothing yet, but I envisage I will soon make fun of i.e. the new idiot neighbor.

New lock isnt a good idea, they either couldnt get out or I couldnt get it.

Reminds me of the time that I pointed to the washroom in the mall for my wife and went in the other one. Turns out we were both in the wrong washroom.

My wife doesnt like me coming home after 11 as SHE worried I be might hooking up with a chick. But deep down inside she knows that I dont, but she's concerned regardless. Last night, I was trying to get acquaint with people in the new neighborhood (for her safety); somehow I was invited by the OG (original gangsters) in the hood, and had one too many cans of Black Panther....their stories were hilarious. I was accepted into the 'group,' not sure if I should be proud or scared after them accusing me being Korean, Chinese and a SPY, until I did the Robbie William Rock DJ rap. Anyway, I am really embarrassed for disturbing the neighbor.
