Coming Up: Lots of Parties but No Booze Next July

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Coming Up: Lots of Parties but No Booze Next July

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

CEO News would like to thank the organisers of the next elections for the information that beer sales will be suspended on 22 and 23 of July 2023, during the elections. This is thinking ahead - 3 months ahead. Heads up expats !
However, Rule Number 2 (See below - No wine or beer with restaurant meals) might take tourists by surprise, and seems excessively severe for the tourist businesses that are still recovering financially after Covid-19.

No Alcohol Sale for 2 days Before The 7th General Election

2 months ahead, not 3...
Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

If someone leaves because they can't have a beer with their burger then clearly they were not a person of good moral value for the Kingdom.

No beer. No way of getting beer. It's looking grim. But it will never be as bad as Thailand is every afternoon.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
