Old NaNa Hotel renamed to Wei Si Deng Hotel (near GSM)

Post by SHV9 »

NaNa Hotel in Phnom Penh has a new name or owner.
Does anyone have experience with these?
Are the lockers still available in the lobby?

Friend used to stay there often when traveling down country to Phnom Penh, last time was quite some time back, the hotel was being refurbished they told him when booking in, but they agreed to let him stay a few nights, the new owners are Chinese I understand.

I risk it and test the hotel myself.

Lol, at your own risk indeed - two bodies (reported here) out the back door of NaNa Hotel in two years.

It is no longer the NaNa of yesteryear. Now it is a Chinese hotel. I was in the Nana many times. It was always o. K., except the primitive breakfast.

I tend to avoid places with frequent unexplained deaths. It may be worth the extra $2 per night to find a better place.

Here is a review I saw on tripadvisor "This place since day one was one from nightmares ,receptionist who didnt know even his name, dirty bed sheets, dirty walls, cocrouches big as my hand, breakfast non existent !full of 60+-gents that pull young cambodian girls....Iam so glad iam out of there"

What is the appeal of this place to you?

Me too. Perhaps that's why I've managed to live so long without being abducted, or murdered and abducted?
