Yeah I was going to say, it's borey Peng Huot. Tons of Khmers go there to snap pictures. Like those fake French towns in China, or the faux European architecture on Koh Pich.

Go to France, Germany or England while staying in China. The perfect place for those that have never been anywhere nor will go anywhere to take selfies and appear to have the charmed life they crave for social media. I always wear a fake Hermes belt when I go just to get the full affect.

I live 2km from there. All the buildings that you photo are soon to be restaurant's. They are still building St Pauls Cathedral. Most of the houses are gated, but there are good public areas, I was once invited to visit a Khmer friend who lives in one of the low end priced houses, yes it was very nice, but me I am only a westerner and can't afford the lower price tag of $1.4 million.
Hope your lady has not got ideas, or have you got deep pockets.

For those that may be confused, it's not near the Department of Immigration at Pochentong, but the one in Chbar Ampouv.

True, the time to buy in was 5 years ago. Prices started to skyrocket when it became apparent how vast the community was planned to be.

2 huge buildings are being erected, one I think is going to be a shopping mall and the other, condos. There's a big (questionable quality) hospital nearby, a growing international school and even a fire house with two dedicated fire trucks on the premises.

In another 2 to 3 years as construction completes, there will be little reason to venture outside the community gates, what with all the amenities contained within.

I think this is the crown jewel of the BPH communities......in fact I think one of the PH brothers lives in the Chbar Ampouv one.

$1.3million for a cookie cutter mini mansion? That's a bit pricey. Is that on the low end or...?

Cambodian citizens can purchase real estate in Portugal (for the same price as a cookie cutter home in Borey Peng Huot and a community Chinese-made Dutch windmill. minimum investment of 500k euros) and obtain their Portuguese passport after 5 years if that's something they're looking into. What's the catch? People enrolling in the Golden Visa program must visit Portugal once every two years for at least 15 days...

I'll take a mansion overlooking the Atlantic Ocean over anything in Borey Peng Huot.

The wealthy, (and ones who wish to pretend they are with monthly payments) , will buy in and live away from the reality of their own country outside the gates.

Smart move by the developer. The land would not have been at a premium - even if the construction cost was 50% more than the standard borey estate, the units are selling for multiples higher.
