Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: An unidentified New Zealand man, who has ended up begging on Phnom Penh's riverside tourist strip in Cambodia, says that he was robbed and has lost everything.
According to social media, an account named JU DY JA posted that " He was in front of the Royal Palace. He got robbed, so he lost everything. He was asking for help with the food and drink. Please help him. "
Does anyone know this man ?

Is there a New Zealand Embassy or a consulate in Phnom Penh ? If he was genuinely robbed, at the very least, they would allow him to telephone his family in NZ for help.

poor fella indeed, no NZ embassy here, I gave him a few hours of help making phone calls and the like buy small food iced coffee but he has made his choices and has a nasty addiction and is probably more in need of methadone than anything other than rice and water now.

oh no, he was bashed and robbed twice I am quite sure, he was targeted at upon landing and hit by riverside first then put his act back together and get robbed again. Please PM me if you want the whole story as I am new to the board here and I like my anonymity.
