According to Vichit Phrath, head of the Provincial Council of Takeo monks, the order was issued on November 1, 2019, that this monk will be defrocked for showing his relation with his girlfriend on social media and shaming the Cambodian Buddhist religion.

Silence, exile, and cunning.

I have a Thai friend who recently spent three months as a monk in a forest temple. He makes merit every morning in real life and is an artist who posts very regularly on Fb. Fb is really his business promotion model.
the first two months at the temple very little was posted and what was pictures of the daily lives of the monks. the third month he started to post pictures of his wife almost daily and comments about how much he missed her. There was a backlash from the followers of the temple and he was asked to leave. Can t yearn for a woman if you are a monk. He is in his late 50's , not a kid with a six pack
