Kindle Issue

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Kindle Issue

Post by bobsboots »

I finally got my Jakarta novel published on Kindle and people back in England and Europe are buying it, The only problem is I can't seem to find out how many copies have been sold. I have a KDP account but it doesn't mention sales.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Anyway, if you want to read a novel about life, relationships, politics, sex and culture set in Jakarta during the May 1998 riots ( something I experienced for three unnerving days ) then here is the link.
Cheers.

Congratulations to getting your book out there!

After signing in at kdp.amazon.com, you should find yourself on a page with links "Bookshelf," "Reports ,""Community," etc. at the top.
Click on "Reports" to see your sales.
On the subsequent Sales Dashboard, you can select All Marketplaces (to see all worldwide sales) or a specific Amazon site, such as Amazon.co.uk, for sales at a specific Marketplace.

There also seems to be a new Dashboard Beta. If you are getting that, there should be a point "Orders" in the left pane of the webpage.

Thanks for that. A perfect answer. So easy when you know how.

@bobsboots
Glad I could be of help.
If I may suggest, announce your book in an extra thread for more views. I would never have guessed that "Kindle Issues" also tells us that your book is out.

dont see the book cover. I use adaware and ad block and it block stuff, 90% stuff i dont want to see but sometimes......
Suggest you ALWAYS include a real url to where you want people to go.
not leave it as a photo with a url embedded.

I'd be interested to read it as I was there at. the time. As Richard mentioned no link or book cover appearing. What's it called ?
