Picked up from many recent examples of people from various generations and many backgrounds/lifestyles. The whole concept of asking others to pay for things that you don't have the money to pay for yourself.
Now, call me old-fashioned, however I was always brought up on the principal that if you couldn't afford it, you don't buy it. Perhaps I'm now considered a dinosaur on this score, but what are the views of the balance of the community on this?
Let's leave the beg-packer twats out of this. These are just a bunch of entitled assholes who want everything for nothing. Actually, screw that, let's discuss these scroungers too.

It's a free country. They can do what they want. If I don't like what they are doing, I Ignore them. I suggest everyone do the same.

Haven't you just said that people from various generations/backgrounds/lifestyles are using it? How can it be a specific generation? It exists now because of the internet, essentially. Are you suggesting we destroy the internet and go full luddite?

Look no further than the consensus Democrat platform for 2020 ... free everything, including a generous monthly stipend whether you feel like working or not.

In my earlier life I had a boss who was an ex police superintendent who once said 'crime (as in burglary) is good coz it's a redistribution of wealth in society'. I was astounded at the time he said that but I suppose..he would say that wouldn't he? ..as it kept him in a job.
Bringing this anecdote up coz maybe there are similarities here of money redistribution..

But yes I agree about the following in SE Asia; beg packers, GoFundme lot, man buns, hipsters, young handsome males (I’m neither), young fit women (who ignore me. To be fair they’ve been doing that for at least 20 years), elephant pants, precious millennials, dirty looks whilst out with my young wife from all of the above, grumpy old expats who complain about everything, anti Chinese fed by the media since 1970 that everyone sucks up (“China bad. The West good”), people who go on about Trump and bring it up in every conversation, all “Honda” Wins, people who ride “Honda” Wins, expats/backpackers who ride trial bikes with a dog propped up on the gas tank, expats who drive like locals, people who post on closed group FB forums that they are leaving Kampot/PP/SR etc, “forever home” FB posts for dogs/cats/children, people who say “Peeps” or “awesome” or “guys” and are so peppy it’s nauseating, shirtless barangs in bars, Pastis, French Canadians, not being able to find anything, inept mechanics and last but not least piles.
But I don’t let it bother me. I’ve just accepted it otherwise I’d be more angry.
I try an embrace the smelly youth. Even hang out with them. They’re not so bad. They have many misconceptions towards any expat over 30 too.
Go hug a backpacker. Say hi to a dreadlocked dude from Surrey. Be happier.

A third of all gofundme campaigns are for medical costs, as people are unable to pay for insurance, or they have insurance, but it still doesn't cover their needs.

House costs have been increasing for so long, many young people cannot afford to buy a home these days, and probably won't be able to do so until their late 30s, or beyond.
Sure there are people asking for money for things you may consider stupid, but if that is the case, just don't give them money. Simple.
I try not to complain too much in life, especially as there are people in much worse positions that I, but when people moan about millenials (now coverall for young people in general, even though millenials are generally in their 30's now!), it really gets my goat, as they are considered to be a feckless generation who are lazy and unwilling to try, when more often than not, they are being hampered by the system they have to live in. That was enough of a rant (and run on sentence for me), as I'm sure you have heard the arguments before. Me repeating them is unlikely to change minds.
I'll just leave you with this though...
