Why would a 'serious' writer change the title of a book once it had been written ?
The title IS the book.
Why would a westerner pose, smiling, with an AK 47 ( if I am not mistaken) to promote said book?
You may have a great story to tell, but I'm just sayin'...

It’s her book, she can change the title.

Edited for Bobsboots:

It had not been published when I changed the title. I was advised by an editor to do so.

To answer your question: In the photo, I'm holding my driver's gun. When I taught at Ream Naval Base in 1994, the KR were still active in the area. He drove with a grenade in the console and the gun in the back seat.

Thanks for your support.

It was #1 in Amazon Hot New Releases a few days ago. Pretty cool!

Anyway, thanks all, for your support as I worked on the book.

Read the story and you will find out. The photos are personal blasts from the author's past. An illustration of the way it was back in the day etc.
Cambodia has changed so quickly. I really enjoy reading all the oldtime expat stuff - which wasn't all that long ago when you think about it.

If your driver drove with his gun on the back seat , where were you sitting . C/cat, remember most guys dont like it when women have a bigger gun than themselves.

It seems I read a great article in the Post or Daily (online) some time back about this building. There was a large community of people who lived here. It looks pretty bad, but once inside, people claimed their own space and had it how they wanted it, and they had good friends there.

Is it still standing?

I can't imagine it would have been torn down. It's in P P, after all, not SHV.

I'd love to know if any of you have been in it.
