Looks like no less a fire trap than the last.

Glad I need 3 bedrooms, much cheaper than those pokey studios.

Two things going for it, fire-wise: One, it's on the first floor and it has a balcony, so in a *pinch* I can jump for it; two, the egress doesn't include transom ventilation from other apartments. But it sounds like you think it's overpriced?

Looks like you have to walk through the landlords house to walk up the steps to your apartment ? If so that's a NO NO
The gas stove hob top is OK, but gas ovens are NO NO NO.[ Yes I have owned one.but never again ]
Not over priced.

That's a terrific point about gaining access to the stairs: I thought the stairwell was in a sort of "front office" that was separate from the actual residence, but now that I've watched the video again myself I can't be certain.

At least it will deter those Wat Phnom hookers from going up and banging on your door at 1 am in the morning.

I'd be at the other end of Street 19, but your point stands.
.
So is it a deal-breaker if I have to transit the landlord's residence to gain the stairs?

Only you can answer that Dave.

Speaking from personal prior experience, it will become a PITA.

You need your own private entrance, there's no way you want to rely on someone else to let you in/ out. Otherwise the "living room" isn't big enough to swing a cat in, and I didn't see the balcony so I presume it is minuscule. Basically it's shit. 8)

The only opinion that matters is yours, only you can decide if it is suitable for yourself.
