A. mellifera populations are rebounding now the causes of colony collapse disorder are becoming well understood.
The remainder of the insect phylla is under severe threat with up to 75 percent of the population already gone.

In all seriousness though, the Earth has been here for around 4.5bn years. It will also still be habitable for a few bn more, until our dying sun makes and any form of life impossible.
During the Earths life time it has been a hell of a lot hotter and colder than it is right now. There have been numerous mass extinction events and each one has been followed by an explosion of species diversity.
So while we may not be around as we go the way of the dinosaurs and given the propensity for "life to find a way " i wonder what will come after us in a few million years.

Imagine discovering our civilization like we discovered Egypt. Archeologists thousands of years from now will open the tomb only to find A Brave New World, where smartphone notifications and sugar consumption defeated biological survival instinct.
It makes me depressed.
It makes me depressed.

But still, which one will collapse first? Which one scares the most of doing so?
One of them is going, for sure, and we will even witness it.

The Cambodian real estate market.
