Buying a motorcycle in Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Buying a motorcycle in Phnom Penh

Post by Daum Penh Stalker »

This does not appear to be an easy thing to do. Going to the Cambodian bike shops seems like a great way to get ripped off. What's the best way to buy a motorcycle in Phnom Penh and not get ripped off? Maybe buy from a foreigner? But where?

If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

The American Civil War wasn't about slavery. But thanks for your generalization. Can we chat about this later? After I buy a bike.

did you check the prices of new bikes at the dealer? Those prices will give you kind of guideline, but esp. Honda bikes keep their value for a very long time.

What bike are you looking for and do you want new or used? New, big capacity motorbikes are a lot more expensive here than western markets
