I was there 7 months ago. Mostly Chinatown now. There was a French place near the end before the road goes down to beach, with rooms apparently but the staff were too busy playing boules.
The mealy chander now is chinese and 20 dollars plus, or so. Everything gone expensive. Wanted to stay, looked everywhere, but got room downtown in the end.
You may be better off staying in Serendipity or Otres 2 and renting a bike to visit Victory instead.

I relayed the generally poor opinion. He had a few businesses there circa 2010 and wants to form his own opinion
I will relay that later or perhaps he will report directly. He is staying at divers as it happened
