Started a new thread as suggested.

And so it begins.

7 am ceremony, 10 am party. Will be a double header, with a birthday party celebration in the afternoon. Might need an IV drip after it’s all over.

The flower backdrop had been put up and lettering is being added.



Awning’s already gone up, black dog not on the menu.

Is it 'cos it's black? It is isn't it? You'd eat it if it was white.

Trays being amassed. Some offerings still waiting for arrival. Current plan is more than 40.

Who are the offerings for?
Why are they made?
Who provides the offerings?

Make up + clothes people have arrived.

Time for missus to turn into the unrecognizable ‘same same’ woman that the locals are so fond of.

The signage people have arrived to finish the job. Arguing with missus about spelling my name. They keep wanting to give me a Khmer name.

The garment girl brought 4 Khmer formal clothes to wear. Fit 1 out of 4. Lady went to get more.
