Hello! I would like to welcome you all to Moe's Bar, a cozy new pub on Street 144 in Phnom Penh. Your first drink is on the house. Come enjoy with our lovely hostesses. We have drink specials every night.
We also have a VS Phoenix Darts Machine with online play and a VIP room with arcade machine on free play.
We are located on Street 144 across from 3A Bakery.

Open every day at 6:00 PM until 12:00 AM (or later if we have customers).

He possibly means your first drink there, ever. It might not mean each time you visit, or that you can arrive, leave, arrive, leave...

With the constant promotions of Moe's Bar here, it's quite obvious: the bar is not working and they're struggling. I'm wishing everyone success in starting up a business, but yet another hostess bar and then on street 144? She should have invested a bit more in S.W.O.T. Oh wait, that's an unknown concept in Cambodia: just open some non-descript shophouse bar, put in a few 'lovely hostesses' and the customers are coming and spending!
There are more than enough ladybars already in Phnom Penh, as everybody knows. Maybe there's a niche market in new borei's, like Phnom Penh Thmei, where there's nothing else to do. But in Daun Penh? Forget it, already saturated with girlie bars, and quite a few are struggling.
I would also like to know: who, if any, on this forum has actually gone to that bar to get the first drink for free?

They are now an advertiser here, so they can promote it, of course. Offering free beer to everyone is a good start. The more hostess bars in the universe, the better.
