Saw a snake yesterday!
Saw a snake yesterday!
Was wondering what kind of snake this is. I saw it on road 48 near Botom Sakor
his head didn't look big but was just too late to capture it on camera.. body long and fat..

Wow! maybe it's dangerous, but I think the snakes are pretty. In the place I live, the snakes arent larger than 20 cm, and are harmless

google some images of Burmese Python v Russel's Viper and compare. Definitely the latter.

Re: Saw a snake yesterday!
here another pic that we made.. unfortunately not clear..
but the viper has more like round camo and this looked more like army camo on the skin of the snake... or am I wrong?
the left side is his head quite narrow it seems..

Re: Saw a snake yesterday!
I did earlier, I understand snakes can vary wildly in appearance, but Russel's Vipers seem to usually have a much more consistent/ even pattern which is why I still think it's a Burmese Python.Artful Dodger wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:58 pm

Russel's Viper with very even markings.
Burmese Python with typical highly varied markings.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
