Farm To Table

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Farm To Table

Post by Babble »

Any reason they have decided to also include cat's that want to dine on my table while I eat my food?

Disgusting animals, worse than a cockroach due the dead body not being as big to dispose of.

I don't know how cat's fit into the farm to table scenario but it's rank and until they remove them it's bon voyage.

They recently lost one of the beloved hens, and cats taste the same, right?

The Hen has been replaced, whoever thought Cat's and food would work is an idiot. I will eat the bloody thing if it comes near my food again, I'll bite its cute head off.

I ate it unknowingly in Bali, long ago. It wasn't until I'd finished the dish that I realised what I thought was chicken verterbrae were actually not, and queried the staff who smiled sheepishly and said "maow." This was days after the bombing, and apparently some food products were scarce.

I have to be honest, I couldn't tell from eating it that it wasn't chicken. The spices probably played a part in that, though.

I'd be disgusted if that happened to me but it's certainly better than having to fight them off while you eat.

Just sayin' - maybe you need to check your personal hygiene. Do you smell like rodents, fish or prahok?

No need to be catty, stroppy.
Money is human happiness in the abstract; he, then, who is no longer capable of enjoying human happiness in the concrete devotes himself utterly to money.
