In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Re: Orange is the new black
hahaha, I saw "Orange" in the title and at first thought it was a thread about me... then i saw the rest of the title and thought "no, that's silly"... then i clicked it!
I get this one recommended to me a lot, just haven't queued it up yet. eventually i will.

I wonder if UKJ thinks it's a documentary.

Re: Orange is the new black
My friend Rick recommended this to me with the following bait:
'It starts with 2 lesbians getting it on'
I still haven't started it, damnit!

Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

I'm halfway through series 1 and enjoying it a lot.
There's a good mix of characters with interesting back stories revealed via flashbacks.

Scarier than malaria.

I think the show is great. It's one of the few shows that has a large cast of women of color (and women, generally) and I think they do a good job of explaining why everyone got where they are without resorting to stereotypes or cliches.

Can't get used to Captain Janeway as the queen bee though, that's just weird.

This show is pretty damn good. The little Japanese chick in season 2 is pretty cute. I think the show could do with a bit more scissoring scenes, but that is just me.
I'll give ya 500 Riel for it...
Re: Orange is the new black
You already admitted the scene was real, as there was a crowd watching and compared it to a panel show lol. .OrangeDragon wrote:I wonder if UKJ thinks it's a documentary.
