Today, I bought a few bottles of Lion soda in the Samudera supermarket in Sihanoukville, actually 6 of them:

Unfortunately, while they were in my shopping basket, the top of one of these glass bottles broke off. I didn't drop it or anything. The bottle was actually still full of soda. I just put it back under the watchful eye of a member of their staff. While I was at the cashier, checking out, that same staff member followed me and whispered a few things to the cashier. When I checked my bill, the cashier had added the broken bottle to it. It was only $0.35, but still:

-- I asked the cashier: Look, I only have 5 bottles in my basket. Why do you charge for 6?
-- The cashier said: Yes, but you also broke one bottle.
-- So I said: The basket is over $40+, but I am not taking it with me. You can keep it.

Seriously, they should technically have given me the broken bottle of soda when I checked out. In that case, there would have really been 6 bottles of soda in my basket. I might just have paid for it. It was only $0.35 anyway. However, that is not what they did. They kept the broken bottle to themselves, and they did not tell me that they had charged for it. So, that amounts to either THEFT of $0.35 or else THEFT of a broken bottle.

So, I drove off to another supermarket, where I bought pretty much the same stuff again, this time, paying them the full $40+ during the checkout.

why didnt you just request to take the bottle that you broke instead of making a scene over 35c?
theres doing things for principle and theres just wasting your time having to travel to another supermarket to do your complete $40+ shop again just for the principle of 35c?? build a bridge man...

Mademoiselle Samudara is quite the thieving cunt if she is charging 35c for a 13c soda.
Yes, i do know she is better than a lot of the other thieving cunts than run supermarkets in the KOC ( kingdom of crap), but better does not mean good.

Another idiot! You broke it and then put it back where another customer could get cut or blamed for it. I hope they banned you from the shop!
