Hey, guys. I've been reading posts here for the last month or so and about the subject of marrying a Khmer woman, I've heard that you have to show proof of income in order to marry. And that income that you must prove comes out to about $2,000 plus a month? Is that true? What the hell, finding a Thai woman to marry is much easier. Can anyone here share their experiences with me? And also, how hard is it to find a good Khmer woman to be a girlfriend if you are only middle class and aren't "rich", so to speak?

Just give her half your money, half your house and forget the marriage bit that comes first.

Why are you talking about marriage before asking if finding a girl to be a wife is easy? Sounds like the wrong approach.

Exactly, why talk about Cambodian marriage difficulties before you even get to Cambodia ? Wait and see if you find a Khmer girlfriend who wants to marry you first. Then, like most people, you'll manage it if you want to.

Also, absolutely none of my business OP, but you did post that you are in the middle of a divorce right now, so already thinking about your next future marriage to a Khmer woman might be slightly premature, don't you think ?
