Tropical Depression Moves In... (Typhoon Rammasun)

Those living along the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Tonle Bassac rivers were warned Sunday by the Ministry of Water Resources to exercise caution in the coming days as a tropical depression is expected to lead to flooding.

Typhoon Rammasun has killed more than 100 people in China and the Philippines and is expected to set off a tropical depression in Cam­bodia, Laos and Thailand, resulting in heavy rains this week.

“The wa­ter level hasn’t reached emergency levels yet, but we want people to pay attention and be careful, especially if traveling by water,” said ministry spokesman Chan Yutha.

In the statement issued Sunday, residents in Stung Treng, Kratie and Kompong Cham provinces are warned that flooding could reach dangerous levels, while those living downstream will likely see flooding as well.

If we spray antidepressants in the air will it stop the rain?

Thanks for the article. Spraying is considered offensive by the Goddess of Rain, the local tradition is to offer a whole roasted piglet and 5 cases of Anchor.

I've heard of getting depressed people a puppy... but never a pig. though it's usually alive instead of roasted. And beer is a depressant... not a good idea for depressions.
