Much rain in Sihanoukville

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

A Khmer friend warned us today that there is a lot of rain due in PP in the next three days, and that the risk from the rain is flooding/hygiene related. Apparently there were outbreaks of fevers after the flooding a couple of weeks ago, so who knows?

Again, where is the MOST reliable source of weather info on the net for the area? A typhoon in the Philippines can cause monsoons in SE Asia...

Wunderground? Accuweather? Weather.com?

The husband of a girl I work with is a local fisho and is pretty good at predicting the weather ( ok, take any weather prediction with a grain of salt obviously !) She came in yesterday and told me "Too much big wind in Vietnam, too much big rain in Thailland. They start boxing over Sihanoukville tonight". Hopped on my moto to ride home at 1am this morning and the fukn skies opened BIG time! She reckons it should all be over by "22 day". I bloody hope!
