DUI Checkpoints in Phnom Penh. Drink n Drive Carefully!

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Police in Phnom Penh set up road blocks on street 598. Within a span of an hour and a half they managed to check almost 1,400 vehicles, including cars and motorbikes.

Of the 1,342 motorbikes they stopped, 43 people were not wearing helmets.

And of the 43 they breathalyzed, only 2 were found to be drunk.

They had experts helping them, including the foreigner in the picture.

If you're going to drink and drive, please be careful. And for God's sake, wear a helmet!

Sounds like you all condone drinking and driving.

Yeah, we're all so lucky living here not having to wear helmets, and being able to drink and drive.

#FREEDOM

2 people out of almost 1400 stops were drunk. That is what I call effective police work. FYI the military used to do these roadblocks.

I'm just stunned that some expats on here think it's a bad thing (white people having to drive sober?). Sacrilege!

Yet, let some okhna in a SUV run down a few people when drunk and they want blood.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right? ;)
