About Working and a Medical Certificate
About Working and a Medical Certificate
Hey, guys. I have a question. I have read that you must provide a Medical Certificate if you want to work in Cambodia. Is that true? And if it is, what tests do you have to pass to get this Medical Certificate? Blood tests for HIV and other stds? Anything else? I'm still in the process of getting information so if anyone can help me, thanks a lot.

Depends where you get the medical done, they generally take height, weight, age, blood pressure and a small blood sample for blood sugar.
They don't test for HIV or STDs or other diseases.

Re: About Working and a Medical Certificate
The last one I have the didn't even check blood.
Just height, weight, blood pressure (mine was high after a bender the night before, so the very pretty nurse just wrote down a more respectable result for me ), temperature. Ohh and they also stick a popsicle stick in your mouth to look down your gullet.
I have had blood taken in the past but not the last 2 times I have been.

I am a little confused! Are we talking about producing a medical certificate to the employer, or obtaining a certificate for the work permit?Ronny wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2017 10:41 pm Hey, guys. If it is the latter, the doctor has to be registered with the appropriate certification. Immigration would advise on who and where. Lets face it, it's about paying and obtaining the paperwork. It cost me $15 bucks, and very little medical.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

He's asking about the medical certificate required for the WP, I thought he was pretty clear about that.AndyKK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2017 10:06 am

Immigration won't advise, they have nothing to do with Work Permits, they are the remit of the MoLVT.

Re: About Working and a Medical Certificate
You can get it from the medical center at the Ministry of Labor on Russian Federation Boulevard, $25.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Sorry PSD-Kiwi, I must have been confused when Immigration visited me to inspect my business documents. then telling me who was the doctor in the area whom could provide me with a medical certificate which was acceptable. Then it was forward to the Ministry of Labour.PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2017 10:26 amHe's asking about the medical certificate required for the WP, I thought he was pretty clear about that.AndyKK wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2017 10:06 am

^^^ But, you did this in Koh Kong right?
In PP you would go where John Bingham said above.

Yes, and I do agree with your statement. It is good to know where and how to obtain.

Re: About Working and a Medical Certificate
Apologies my wording probably wasn't clear, I should have said people needing advice re WP's should contact the MoLVT not the Immigration Dept. I'm sure in more rural areas the Immigration Police can be helpful.
