I want to invest my 500 AUD

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I want to invest my 500 AUD

Post by Samouth »

I have got 500 AUD and i am thinking to keep them and get them changed when its value rises up a little bit. I might be wrong but i recalled there was time when 1 AUD equals 0.9 USD. Do you think how long will it take for Australian money to goes up thinking of current economic?

sept 2014 it was .9 but that was the spot price.currency price will have been around .85

so if you wait six months (or six years) you will make about $20 aud extra less any fees

put $500 in amk bank and earn $25 less tax

A long, long time - fantasies of uranium sales making Australia rich aside... you'd be better off changing it now and sticking it in the bank and earning interest on it.

The latest exchange rate is .76 c $,,, Money exchanges will give you aprox .75 c,, which means you have USA $ 375.
Should you wait say , one year for the rate to go up to .90 , then you will have USA $ 450,,,, an increase of USA $75.

Are you a gambler ? cause the Australian government wants the dollar to go down, but it is doing the opposite.

The best advice I could give would be to change your A$500 when you are happy to do so.

And invest it in a bar.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

In 2012/2013 it got up as high as 1.08.
Still, I definitely wouldn't be holding my breath 'til it gets that high, or anywhere near it again.
Much better things you could invest in then the Ozzie $, Samouth.
