SKYSCANNER
How many weeks in advance gives you the best price , when booking long haul flights. Which days tend to be best and are there better ways to book , other than Skyscanner ?
A few questions but I am sure you folk will know the best options

Re: SKYSCANNER
I recommend comparing prices on sky scanner and kayak. Then take the routines they give you and check the prices directly on the airlines' websites.

Re: SKYSCANNER
I used to be a Skyscanner convert but I found Kayak continually beating their price. In my experience, booking around three weeks prior to departure can also present good deals if you're not looking at peak periods like Xmas. I've had some great last minute deals like flying Kathmandu - London for $400 one way Feb 2014, and more recently Lon - Perth on Emirates for $650.

Sky scanner used to be much cheaper but I think now it's gotten too popular. Doesn't seem to search all the budget airlines anymore either.
