Garbage disposal in PP

Post by Doc67 »

I have noticed the usual place I use to dump garbage in street 154 ,by the alley way that leads to 172 (of the 'body in the freezer' fame) has gone, during the day at least. There is a sign up and there was an old guy in a rag-tag uniform that seemed to be saying that you can dump garbage there after 7pm.

This is not convenient as I am either at home for the evening or out having a beer somewhere. Is this a trend spreading across PP, or is it just this site that has been restricted?

Does anyone know of another local site for daytime dumping around that area? I was thinking of Kandal Market at the junction of street 144/13 but anything nearer would be better. The one in 172 (opposite Sundance) has long gone in the daytime.

Fingers crossed that it is a trend that will spread across the whole city. No more piles of stinking, vermin-magnate garbage Vs a slight inconvenience.

Not sure if I understand the question. What kind of garbage do you usually dump there that you cannot dump at your apartment building at all times without even leaving the house?

My first thoughts go to undesirables. But I just have that sort of family.

@Doc67 can’t you just bung him a small consideration to deposit the garbage at the right time, on your behalf? If he proves reliable, I could engage his services on larger specimens…

It seems to be well policed at the moment, but like many of these schemes it might revert to the norm in a week or so.

I'm sure I can bung the local Tuk a $ and he'll get rid of it somewhere.
