There's a boil on my arse.

It's large, on the left buttock on one of the pressure points.
Developing a large crown, pus getting ready to blow. Golfball sized
This has not happened to me before. Too much monkey butt from the bike this week.
Quite painful, had to ride a few hundred Km's yesterday and couldn't sit on my left ass for more than ten minutes a go.
I'm DEFINITELY not driving to phnom Penh with it, Think it will need a sterilized snapped razor blase on a piece of wood, hydrogen peroxide and gauze.
Am I missing anything? I need this thing gone.

Just a suggestion - i'm not a doctor. Try this before attacking with a razor.
Hot water compress to soften it up, then squeeze and clean with peroxide.
Maybe an antibiotic cream like sodium fucidate on the gauzedressing overnight to keep it soft, then just peroxide to dry it out after that.
But, golfball size ??? You might need a doctor if it doesn't come right.

Generally opinion seems to be the compress, hot or cold, but NO squeeze.
the compress helps it come to a head or dissipate in the body.
It's quite big, so if It does not burst itself in 24 more hours(now its day 3) I will lance it.
Plan a 1cm deep incision with a twist. Then let it drain and clean with peroxide, gauze it and iodine around the area.

I've has 4 of these over 14 yrs,
All in pressure points from riding a bike.
I ended up in hospital with surgery the first time.
When it first appears, apply a poultice of antiseptic cream and powder and stick a band aid over the problem, the skin will soften and hopefully allow the puss to burst out and escape.
If it becomes deep layer cyst, the only option is to cut it and allow it to drain.
The sooner you act the better the result.
