Who owns a suit in Cambodia?

I notice some people are astounded that I own suits I brought over from America with me when I moved. I personally happen to like getting all suited up and dressed to the 9's now and then. I think I look pretty damn good in one. My wife tends to agree. But I also get how it's the hot as fuck tropics, there's rarely a need for one, etc. I was raised and believe myself that it's good for a man to own at least one black suit if nothing else... you never know when the occasion will call for one to be appropriate and respectful, so it's better to have it and not need it (if you don't like wearing them) than need it and not have it.

How about you? Do you suit?

I last wore a suit in 1969 a ''30's dark blue pinstriped double breasted 3 piece to my first wedding.

I have a business suit for interviews and official events, but I much prefer wearing formal Chinese shirts over dress slacks.

I own 3 suits. Has to be done for the job. I avoid wearing them at all costs though.

Maybe 2 times a month for certain clients. I have worn one twice at social events in the past year - no tie though.

I have one. It's only used for when PlayBoy invites me to VIP events, or weddings. I can't have him looking sharper than me.

I also have one, but I can't remember ever wearing it in Cambodia
By the way, where do you get those formal Chinese shirts? I'm sure my usual tailor could make me a traditional khmer shirt with manchurian collar, but kind of curious.

TTP market - watch that you're actually getting the silk you're being charged for, though (fire test). And I always pay the girls on the corner of the tailor alley a dollar to swap the little cloth knots out for western buttons.
