Opiates and Cambodia

Hi everyone! So, I've always wanted to travel to Indochina and I tend to pick destinations that are relatively lenient on drug use/attainablity (Netherlands/Jamaica/west coast USA). This is, of course, primarily marijuana related. I've also been quite the fan of opiates and I'm currently on buprenorphine. I settled on cambodia because of the seeming prevalence of high quality Burmese heroin, and the absence of the same sort of draconian drug penalties common amongst countries like Thailand.

Having much experience with H in the USA and England I'm well versed in how to properly read situations and hunt down what I need. I just don't want to spend half my vacation doing it. I'd like to travel to Siem Reap, and Sihanoukiville , starting in Phnom Penh. During my research it's occurred to me that any tuk tuk will sell you a bag and call it no. 4, I just don't want to waste money and time getting ripped off finding it. And also finding enough pure 4 so it will last me my entire trip so I can enjoy all the other wonders cambodia has to offer.

What my question to this forum is, and please if I'm offending you or you're aghast at my post please spare me the scolding, what method is most effective to procure that in the manner I desire. I've read that locals pay less than expats who pay less than tourists. Would it benefit me then to try and find expats or befriend expats for a day or two to get a purer, cheaper product? Or is the expat community involved in H so small and scattered that it'd be like hitting a needle in a haystack? Or is there a neighborhood or area where it's be easiest to meet expats who run in those circles? Or is just feeling out tuk tuk's the simplest way?

I'm not trying to ask for any sourcing per se, but more so an informed opinion on how best to achieve my objective of finding a safe, reliable connection for high quality H quickly in Phnom Penh from the people who I've read know best. Should I stay in a crummy guesthouse, or can I stay in the palais and still score with the same level of ease?

I know some of you may morally object to my post, but I feel and practice harm reduction and would like to be as informed as possible.

Thanks everyone. I'm planning on a 15 day trip and really want to explore the finest from the famed golden triangle. Sorry if I've offended anybody or broken forum rules.

;)

They might be a bit more relaxed about marijuana here, the same doesn't go for heroin.

It's worth noting that the Cambodian authorities aren't really "relaxed" about drug use - they're more starved of funds to police it. If you are caught, you're going to end up paying a lot of money to get out of jail, or spending a lot of time sucking Cambodian cock in the showers...

However, if that's no deterrent... head to 172 in Phnom Penh and subtly ask around, the expat community there has so many drug problems that someone will be able to sort you out reasonably efficiently.

Well, I've read for personal use the penalties aren't as tough, the police aren't as prevalent nor are they AS crooked (still crooked I'm sure). Heroin is illegal everywhere, but people still buy and use it. I am personally okay with the risk reward of possibly being caught. I'm intelligent and fairly discreet and its a chance I've resolved to be acceptable. I think what I'm asking would also minimize that happening.

But maybe this is your way of saying the mere subject is out of bounds on CEO. I don't drink, so the cheap beer won't be taken advantage of by me.

No deterrent at all, thanks for that. I've read that the main reason is the lack of funds, so one can be reasonably assured that expats informants aren't working undercover like thai bartenders?

I'm a big guy with money, so the only cock getting sucked would be mine, haha.

In my experience... to have expat informants would require paying them. If you don't pay your own coppers a proper salary, you're unlikely to pay foreigners decent money to throw people to your poverty stricken police...

I just view a YouTube video of 172 st and it's looks very much like a Parisian street, minus the Asians, motorbikes, and tuk-tuk's. French restaurants/French architectural influence, sounds pretty awesome.

my take
u will not find a good contact without references in SE asia. IF ur a user i am sure u know what another kindred soul looks like so approach them,
Do suggest you stay away from GSM and any Bar girl as u will end up buying shit and might get busted as well.
BUT it wont be easy, fuck i wouldn't even think of selling anything to someone i don't know or knows someone i know

even a tuk tuk driver will sell you the lowest grade possible off the street but still that will be more potent than u will find back in the real world.

also there is not as much local H available as 10-15 years ago as the money is in pills now
DEA has a heavy presence in asia
