Japan shops have loads of cheap and some branded clothing not much in BIG sizes though

Out of curiosity, I"d imagine if you work in a shirt and tie you should have a good paid job, enough to save for decent shirt, pants and tie in 9 months?

Generally the worse the job here the more stringent they are on staff uniforms. It's because they companies know that the people they are employing have no idea how to dress themselves without being given specific instructions.
