Implications of new CGT for Australian expats with property at home?
Anyone able to make sense of the new rules? I read them as, if I sell my property(rented out main residence) while overseas I will not be able to claim CGT relief. However, if I go back and live in Australia at some point in the future and subsequently sell then I would be eligible for relief.

I imagine you'd have to live in it again for some period like six months at least first.
