If you buy local check its safe for the food your putting in it. Some foods can absorb chemicals from the packaging o stain it

And it depends where you are sending it. There are food safety standard for all food containers in most developed countries, but not here!
Dry goods like fresh peanuts are not fussy, but roasted peanuts are packed in foil with an inert gas to prevent rottng and preserve shelf life.
Some foods and especially acidic ones will absorb a nasty taste if you use the wrong plastic plastic.
ppaer also has to be food safe. Recycled paper may contain chemicals for the bleaching process.
best find similar goods and see how they are packed. There are definitely packing companies here because they make dried fruit, crisps
