visa for work

i know this has been asked many times before but maybein a different formula
i work for a ngo and will leave soon but my visa expires next month
i will look for other work next year in cambodia
i can get a letter from them now to prove employment
i don't want several trips, so was hoping to get 1-year visa
what are the requirements please?
if its too complicated i might try retiremnt visa - requiremnts?
